This painting was inspired by a philosophy class I took. One day we discussed how all the great thinkers of the past weren’t able to solve the issues they were pondering until they were able to find the right question to ask. I wanted to paint this idea, that we are able to find the answers, they might just come by asking the right question, a question we don’t know yet. This painting was super fun, in addition, because I was experimenting with materials—I painted on a ceramic tile from my local Home Depot! I purposefully let the pattern peak through, to imitate the orderliness and structure we see in the universe.
