This painting is part of my series called “The Way.” I wanted to make a painting surrounding the theme of change and repentance, concepts that seem to be synonymous. I wanted to portray these spiritual themes in a way that reflects how we experience the divine: in every day ways. The action of the figure, the composition, the setting, and the light were deliberately designed to help depict this theme!
