This painting is part of my series called “The Way.” I wanted to make a painting surrounding the theme of ‘divine alignment,’ something I’ve found while searching the scriptures. I believe that as we are aligning ourselves to God’s will, we are like a mound of clay on a potter’s wheel. The action of the figure, the composition, the background, and the light were deliberately designed to help depict this theme.
